In my blog of 4/14/15 entitled "Bird Photos From My Archives: Banded Canada Goose" I described how Sharon and I found a banded Canada Goose on a lake in Tennessee. We reported the sighting to the USGS Bird Banding Laboratory. Last evening I received an email from the USGS and Canadian Wildlife Service along with a Certificate of Appreciaton for reporting a banded bird:
